I was born in Guam on May 18, 2006.
I lived there until I was about three.
My parents said I loved watching the waves, collecting shells, and playing in the sand—anything related to the ocean.
I was a Nintendo kid. I took my pink Nintendo DSi everywhere.
My mom loved shopping, which I found incredibly boring as a kid.
So, I’d always play Nintendo while trailing behind her.
My favorite games were Super Mario 64 and Pokémon Black and White.
When I was eight, after finishing kindergarten in Seoul, my family moved to Busan.
Busan is known for its vibrant marine life, and this is the city’s most famous bridge.
I played the violin for about three years in elementary school.
And damn, I was talented. I performed concertos, competed in music competitions, and won almost every prize.
In second grade, my little brother joined the family.
A Bichon. Benny. Now ten years old.
Before BTS went too global and started releasing only English songs, I was their biggest fan.
I used to be obsessed. This is their logo.
I transferred to an international school in sixth grade.
Back then, my English wasn’t great, so the beginning was a struggle.
Slime videos and vlogs were all the rage.
That’s where I discovered my passion for filming and editing.
I’d lose track of time making videos and eventually started taking it seriously.
The process was exhausting—art portfolio, essays, GPA, SAT, AP…
It was hella stressful, and I never want to go through it again.
